When you receive delivery of your new bike firstly ensure the box is in good condition and fully sealed before accepting the delivery. If there are any issues make sure the carrier notes the packaging as damaged before you sign for the delivery.

Prior to dispatch, all our adult bikes receive a full workshop pre-delivery inspection and are then partly dismantled and safely packaged for shipment.

Some minor final assembly will be required prior to use:

Road Bike Assembly

• In addition to the following notes please consult any manufacturers handbooks/documents provided with the bike.
• Carefully remove all protective packing & zip ties, take care separating front wheel
• Ensure forks are facing forward and fit handlebars into the stem, check torque settings
• Fit quick release skewer to front wheel and install wheel into forks, adjust the thumb screw gradually and keep checking the lever until it locks securely, do not over tighten!
• In some cases the front brake might need to be connected with a 5mm allen key, tighten gradually whilst ensuring the brake blocks are central and not rubbing on either side of the wheel rim, check the brake operation and adjust accordingly.
• Important! Identify the left pedal (L) and install to the non drive side of the bike using either a 15mm spanner or allen key, then install pedal (R) to the chainset side of the bike. This step is very important as pedals are opposite thread and will cause immediate damage if installed incorrectly!
• Install seat and post to the correct torque settings
• Fit reflectors and bell.
• Re check all your previous steps to ensure everything is tight and check that the brakes are functioning correctly before riding.
• After an initial test ride we would recommenced that you thoroughly check all bolts are still tight prior to riding again, this is part of the bedding in process.
• After approximately 6 weeks of use the bike should be fully checked and adjusted, especially gears, brakes, wheels etc to ensure the bike is bedding in correctly, this should be carried out by a qualified mechanic if you are unsure, failure to follow this inspection could lead to safety issues or excessive damage to the bike.

Mountain Bike Assembly

• In addition to the following notes please consult any manufacturers handbooks/documents provided with the bike.
• Carefully remove all protective packing & zip ties, take care separating front wheel
• Ensure forks are facing forward and fit handlebars into the stem, check torque settings, with disc brakes make sure that the hoses or cables are routed correctly and not wrapped around the forks or frame before installing the handlebars.
• Prior to fitting the front wheel remove any transit packing from between the disc pads on the front brake, be careful not to touch the brake leaver at this stage or you will not be able to insert the front wheel. 
• Fit quick release skewer to front wheel and install wheel into forks, adjust the thumb screw gradually and keep checking the lever until it locks securely, do not over tighten!
• For V-Brake bikes close the brake arms and re-connect the cable firstly ensuring that the cable is directly routed from the brake leaver and not around the frame which will affect the braking performance.
• Important! Identify the left pedal (L) and install to the non drive side of the bike using either a 15mm spanner or allen key, then install pedal (R) to the chainset side of the bike. This step is very important as pedals are opposite thread and will cause immediate damage if installed incorrectly!
• Install seat and post to the correct torque settings
• Fit reflectors and bell.
